As a group discussion  on web 2.0 I have decide to research FCL blog site and see what sort of social media site they offer for their patrons.

As of Feb 2011 there were over 15 million public blogs in existence. The meaning of a blog entries is to allowed people to discuss and share information.

I chose FCL blogs because i think the way the library communicate with their patron are very effective as the tool enable them to past on any information via youtube, live music and other social media site such as facebook, twitter, google plus and blog news.

FCL uses this tool in particular to communicate ideas of what is happening in the library e.g events, new items. commentary on sporting event(national event). Also allow feedback and two way communication between staff and library patrons.

The blog allowe you to past you tube footages such as Author talks and promotional tools and listeng to live music before purchasing tickets for concerts.
